SLOPING SQUARE

Public Space design

Pils Laukums is one of the most important public spaces in the Latvian city of Jurmala, few kilometers far from Riga, the capital city.
The project, developed with Walter Nicolino, has been awarded with the second prize of a International Design Workshop.
The strategy suggests a pedestrian wooden deck to connect the Lielupe river, the railway station, the wood and the beach.
The requested cultural centre is hidden under a green sloping roof.
