Kemi waterfront design
The masterplan is focused on the rural waterfront of Kemi, a small city in the north of Finland.
The concept outlines a combination of different individual homes into a new urban block close to the shoreline.
The ground floor of the block is destinated to commercial, public and leisure activities while the first floor is designed as a residential neighborhood unit made of two storey wooden houses with private gardens.
The project took part to the international architecture competition Europan 8.
